David Wayne Hedden Sr.

David Wayne Hedden, Sr., 67, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA with his family by his side.
David was born January 21, 1956, in Phenix City, AL and was the son of the late Douglas Hedden and Mary Hedden. He was employed as a technician with Phenix Firestone in Phenix City with 20 plus years of faithful service. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, fishing, the outdoors, nature, and was a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a Christian and a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church in Phenix City.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Hedden; two daughters, Sarah Hedden and Teresa Watford; and two brothers, Paul Hedden and Edgar Hedden.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Valerie Williams and husband James; a grandson, Michael Watford and wife Savanah; two daughters, Michelle Watford, and Rebecca Parker; two sons, David Wayne Hedden, Jr., and Rudolph Hedden; one sister, Shirley Hedden; three brothers, Bill Hedden, Curtis Hedden, and Calvin Hedden; four precious great-grandchildren, Kynsli, Leiland, Kaidyn, and Brayden; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, Firestone customers, church family, and many caring friends.
A private Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held by his loving family.
