David Edmon Hendren, 64, of Pataskala passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025.
He was born May 17, 1961 in Mattoon, Illinois. David graduated from Mattoon High School, class of 1979. He lived in many areas of the country, and made his way to Florida where he worked as a Lee County tax assessor for 20 years.

David was loved by so many friends and cherished his relationship. He had a flamboyant personality and an amazing zest for life. He loved his dogs and also cars.
David is preceded in death by his beloved husband James "Jim" Reed; mother Gisela, and stepmother Marjorie.
He is survived by his siblings Johnny (Helen) Hendren, Andrea (Henry) Grady, and Michael (Leslie) Hendren; father Robert Hendren and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
David's family will receive friends on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 3:00 to 4:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, Ohio where his service will follow at 4:00 p.m.
