David F.C. Hill

AKWESASNE – David F.C. Hill, Jr., 64, passed away Monday evening, December 15, 2025 at Champlain Valley Physician's Hospital after a brief illness.
David was born March 10, 1961 in Niagara Falls, the son of the late David Sr. and Loretta (Ferguson) Hill. He attended schools in Niagara Falls and served for a time in the Army National Guard. On December 31, 1995, he married Terri Lee Ransom in Akwesasne.
David was a bus driver for the Mohawk Indian Housing Corporation where he cherished the friendships he forged over the years. He had previously worked for Loran Construction and the Akwesasne Housing Authority. He was life member of National Rifle Association and a member of the Akwesasne Death Benefits Group. David was a jack of all trades, who could build anything he set his mind to and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
David is survived by his wife, Terri Lee; his sons, Thomas Gordon Hill and David F.C. Hill, III; chosen sons, Frank C.D. (Lindsay) Hill and Dakota Smoke; his sisters, Debora (Mike) Henderson, Christine Hill, and Sophie Thomas; his brother, Wayne (Karin) Hill, a brother-in-law, Clarence Maracle, a chosen brother, James (Belinda) Pittman; many nieces and nephews; and was chosen uncle to many he mentored and guided in life.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Hill and a sister, Irene Maracle.
