David "Dave" Hogan

Dave (David) Hogan, age 42, of Portland, Oregon and formerly of Hamburg, New York, died on August 6, 2022 after a brief illness. He was the beloved son of Laurie Hogan and the late Kevin Hogan and the cherished brother of Mark Hogan (Heather Miller) and uncle of Annora. He is survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Dave had a long and rewarding career as the Salesforce Administrator for Dunthorpe (Obility) Marketing. His love for computers and technology began as a young child and continued throughout his life.
During the summer of 2021, Dave fulfilled a lifelong dream of doing a solo road trip of 7500 miles across the United States. On his well planned journey, he was able to visit relatives and friends from coast to coast as well as national parks and major cities. In spring of 2022, he did a follow up trip of 5000 miles in the western US - including a stop in San Francisco for a mini family reunion where he had a much-anticipated visit with his niece. His shared photos showed the fun and food he enjoyed along the way.
Dave was generous with volunteering and charities. He had great affection for Sellwood where he lived, the Adult Soapbox Derby in Portland, the Buffalo Bills, Pearl Jam, but mostly for his friends and family.

A memorial service will be held in the garden at Wilhelm's Portland Funeral Home in Sellwood at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 21, 2022. A memorial will also be held in Dave's hometown later this year.
