David “Dave” B. Homiak Jr. was born on January 31, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, to David and Dorothy Homiak. Dave passed on July 6, 2025. On September 20, 1986, he married the love of his life, Laura. Together, they raised one son, Eric, who was the pride and joy of Dave’s life.A true NASCAR enthusiast, Dave never missed a race and could always be found cheering on his favorite drivers. He was also a passionate cook, known for preparing unforgettable meals that brought his family together around the table each day. His love of rock ’n’ roll ran deep—you could often find him jamming out on his drums or strumming his guitars, filling the house with music and energy. Dave had a sharp wit and a dry sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes. His sarcasm was legendary—often delivered with a perfectly timed smirk—and his playful banter brought laughter to even the most ordinary days. He had a gift for making people laugh.Above all, Dave was a devoted family man. His love for his family was unwavering and evident in everything he did. Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Laura; his son, Eric, and daughter-in-law, Taylor; his cherished granddaughters, Elsie and Goldie, with another granddaughter, Violet, on the way; his brother, Thom; his niece, Danielle (Dani); and his sister, Jennifer. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Dorothy.Dave will be forever missed and lovingly remembered for his big heart, joyful spirit, quick wit, and the lasting memories he created with those he held dear.
