David Keith Hornbeak, of Marietta, Oklahoma, was born on October 28, 1956. He was the sixth child born to Joe N. Sr. and Christine (Jones) Hornbeak
David attended school in the Marietta Public School System and graduated from Marietta High School. Early on he developed a love for working on cars, lawn mowers, and small mechanical devices. He grew up in a loving environment surrounded by brothers, cousins, uncles, aunties, and others during the time when everybody knew and respected each other.
David loved sports and participated in football, basketball, and track. He subsequently attended college at Langston University and completed the requirements for an associate degree in Mid-Level Management.
After graduating college, he became employed at Weber Aircraft in Gainesville, Texas for years. He was employed in a similar position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and at Dollar Tree in Marietta. His father, Joe Nathan Sr., mother Christine Jones Hornbeak, three brothers, Johnny Ray Hornbeak, Ronald Edward Hornbeak, and Richard Cam Hornbeak; all preceded him in death.
David leaves to cherish his memory, his loving companion of 24 years, Rhonda, of the home, his daughter, Erica Lynn Mims Hornbeak of Wichita, Kansas, and grandchildren Legacy, Castiel, and Cataleya, brothers Dr. Joe N. Hornbeak, Jr. (Mildred), Steve A. Hornbeak (Doreen), Gilbert R. Hornbeak, aunties Betty L. Williams, Hattie D. McCarroll, Sara Hornbeak, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, friends and acquaintances.
