In Loving Memory of David Alan Hotchkiss
Dave cherished time spent with friends and family; his devoted parents William and Kathleen (née Nelson) Hotchkiss, Sr., his son Jerome "JD" Hotchkiss, and his brother Bill Hotchkiss. Preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Hotchkiss.
Dave, a vibrant spirit who brought joy and laughter wherever he went, was born on March 24th 1974, and passed away on July 14th at the age of 51.
Known for his infectious energy, outgoing personality, and love of life, Dave had a passion for disc golf and could often be found on the course with friends, laughing and living in the moment. He never missed a chance to dance, especially to live music, and was always the first to hit the floor and the last to leave the party. His magnetic personality made him the life of every party.
Dave had a big heart and a gentle soul, with a natural gift for connecting with animals and children, who were always drawn to his kindness, energy, and playful spirit.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, love, and zest for life will never be forgotten.
A gathering in Dave's honor will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 2-4pm at Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077 To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of David, please visit our floral store.
