David "Rick" House, 62, passed away suddenly on October 14, 2025 in Middletown, Ohio. He was born on March 4, 1963 in Middletown, Ohio to the late David and Norma (Kinser) House.

Rick will be most remembered for being an accomplished musician. A gifted singer and guitarist, he earned two CAMMY Awards for Best Rock Instrumentalist. His musical journey included two European Tours with the band Big In Iowa, with whom he recorded five albums. He most recently performed locally with Ashley & The Authority. Beyond his passion for music, Rick led a rich and varied life. He was a proud Kentucky Colonel, dedicated harness racing trainer, and a passionate fan of horse racing and baseball. He was also a true animal lover and long time vegetarian.

He is survived by his wife Anne (Farmer) House; his children Tyler (Deanna), Krista, and Ericka House; his grandchildren, who warmly referred to him as "Big Papi" include P.J., Ryan, Greyson, and Clayton. He is also survived by his brother, John House and his sister Molly Thrasher; niece and nephew Alicia (Nick) Noble and Sam House; and his close friend Tammy Moreland. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rick's honor can be gifted to ASPCA.
