David Michael Huebner, 76, of Cumberland died Thursday, January 23, 2025 at his home. He was born December 19, 1948 in Shell Lake, WI to Elmer and Frieda (Nagel) Huebner. He was raised in the Cumberland Area. On November 12, 1965, He married Wanda Lee Berglund in Lancaster, MO.
Dave owned and operated A-1 septic for many years and was a member of the 49er Union until he passed. He was passionate about a few things in life, some being deer hunting and Trout fishing, which he reminisced about often, collecting old cars, and wagering a few dollars at the casino here and there. If a Packers, Badgers, or Wild game was on the TV, he was cheering - and you better be too.
Above all, the rough and tough Dave's heart melted in the hands of any of his beloved grandkids and great-grandkids, who will all miss him dearly.
He is survived by his sons, Richard (Connie) Huebner of Spooner, Michael(Jennifer) Huebner of Cumberland, and Brent (Pam Froehlich) Huebner of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Mikey (Ashley) Huebner, Justin (Emma) Huebner, Roslyn (Jake) Bickle, and Alex (Anna) Huebner; great grandchildren, Lydia, Bentley, and Stella; sister-in- law, Jacque (James) Dahlgren of Spooner; dear friend Greta; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Huebner; parents; brothers, Ernie, Robert, Lee Huebner; and sisters, Nancy Huebner and Donna Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland, with visitation from 10 AM - 11 AM, and a brief service at 11 AM.
Interment Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mikey and Ashley Huebner, Jake and Roz Bickle, Justin and Emma Huebner, and Alex and Anna Huebner.
Further festivities will continue immediately following the burial at Dale's Twin Pine Tavern, one of Dave's favorite hang outs. The family encourages you to come share memories, a meal, and a drink or a smoke as Dave would.
