Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & CrematoryDavid A. Humberger, 74, of Fremont, passed away, Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Spring Creek in Green Springs. He was born July 9, 1951 in Fremont, the son of Donald A. and Janice Jayne (Older) Humberger.
He was a United States Army Veteran and went on to work for Ludlow Composites as the Chief Compounder. He also held the position of Vice President for the Local Steelworkers 1915.
Dave was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, boating and camping. He also took on the hobby of smoking meat and barbeque. His trademarks became his homemade pepperoni, and sausage. He looked forward to family cookouts.
Surviving is his significant other Lynn Eilrich of Fremont, OH; children Chandra Palm of South Carolina; Trina Maggio of Port Clinton, OH; Kimberly (Steve) Kleinschmit and Joe (Cassie) Mata of Fremont, OH; grandchildren: Brice (Caroline) Palm, Brayden (Kylee) Palm, Brianna (Trevor) Tuckerman, Brett Palm, Bronson Palm, Brynn Palm, Brylie Palm, Braxton Palm, Brielle Palm, Kain Escobedo, Paige (Adam) Kleinschmit, Madisyn (Ty) Kleinschmit, Presley (Wes) Steele, Erin Parker, Seirra Stansbery, Heaven (Adam) Thomson, Gage Mata; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Cheryl Lowe, John Humberger, Jolene Humberger, Candi (Elmars) Spulgis; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jamie Stansbery and brother Mark Humberger.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, February, 21, from 10am-12Noon at Herman- Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial services will begin at Noon at the funeral home with military graveside rights performed by the VFW and American Legion. Private burial will take place at West Union Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online condolences may be expressed to www.hermanfh.com
