David Ilgenfritz Obituary
David was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, having served in the Viernam War. After the war, David began working for Adhesives Research which he dedicated 33 years of hard work before finally retiring in 2013. David is a life member of the Liberty Social Club, where he could be found drinking an ice-cold Budweiser Beer. Friends and family would describe David as being a hardworking, selfless man with a unique and witty sense of humor.
David was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Dorothy (Dill) Ilgenfritz, his brothers Charles Ilgenfritz Jr and Robert Ilgenfritz, his sisters Lois (Ilgenfritz) Dorn, Shirley (Ilgenfritz) Dickenson, Yvonne (Ilgenfritz) Grove and Charlotte (Ilgenfritz) Knaub, as well as his great grandson Javon Riley Jr.
David is survived by his wife Trudie (Davidson) Ilgenfritz, his children Stacia (Ilgenfritz) Baum and fiancé Troy Winters, Mark Gerrick and wife Kelly Gerrick, James Masimore and Fred Gerrick Jr, his brother Donald Ilgenfritz and wife Ann Ilgenfritz, along with 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at John W. Keffer Funeral Home (2114 W. Market Street, York PA 17404) from 10:00am to 11:00am with services immediately following on Friday, July 18, 2025. A burial with full Military Rights will be held at the Mount Rose Cemetery (1502 Mount Rose Avenue, York PA 17403) at 10:00am on Monday, July 21, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at 235 Margate Drive, York PA 17408 on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 2:00pm.
David will be dearly missed by all that knows and love him.
