David Jaeger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society - Schofield on Feb. 20, 2024.
David L. Jaeger, 80, Weston, WI entered into God's Kingdom on Feb 16th, 2024, because he had put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. He was born on Feb. 17, 1943 to Ed and Adeline Jaeger.
David leaves behind his wife Peggy of 53 years, daughters Nicole & Shannon (Dustin Hoffman); son Ryan; grandchildren Berkley, Brylie, Milena & Michael; great grandchildren Rilynn & Remington. Dave's brothers Don (Jan) Jaeger, Ed (Sharon) Jaeger, sisters Carol (Jim) Ruether, Tammy Darnick and many nieces and nephews.
After high school, David joined the United States Air Force and served for 3 years. He met the love of life Peggy in 1969 and were married after just 6 months. In 1973 he started his painting business Du All Painters. Everyone knew him as "Du All Dave". Years back you would see his big paint trucks running around town. Then later changed the business name to Jaeger Painting.
Dave was best known for all the best jokes. His laugh was infectious, and could change the energy in the room. The last few years, he enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with family and friends. He was a huge Packer fan and loved watching sports.
He built his business, worked tirelessly and provided for his family that loved him dearly. He was a generous man whose passing leaves an unfillable gap in the hearts that all were blessed to know him. The unconditional love he showed to all will be forever ingrained in us.
We want to thank the entire Aspirus Hospice Staff and Care Team and all the others who made the last months as comfortable as possible for David and family.
A celebration of life will take place at Highland Community Church (Weston Campus)
6615 County Rd. J. Schofield, WI 54476
