David Janu, Sr., age 72, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family who loved and cherished him. David was born November 6, 1951, in Thompson, Ohio, and spent most of his life there. He graduated from Ledgemont High School in 1969, and later enjoyed a career in mechanical engineering.
David was an avid lover of nature, the outdoors, and animals. He enjoyed spending time outside gardening and kept beautiful flower gardens all the way into the last weeks of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Janu, Sr. and Betty Janu, as well as his sister, Jane Fatheringham (nee: Janu). He is survived by his children, David D. Janu, Jr., Rebecca Gatewood (nee: Janu), and Elizabeth Janu, as well as grandchildren, Nova Janu, Mariah Janu, Laila Marshall, and Nalla Hersman.
David had a warm heart and kind spirit and he will be deeply missed.

I delivered meals to Dave.He waved to me every time after i put on his table somedays we would talk. He always looked forward to when i made up goodie bags.He was a very nice guy. I moved close to him and got to see him several times before his passing and had some good talks. Rest in peace Dave marsha elliott

Dave, Feko and Bill were best buddies in school, lot of fun but mostly crazy memories! He will be missed, he was a good guy!! Rest in peace Dave. Bill and Claudine Kozenko
