David John Johnson was born on November 20, 1947 in Winslow Arizona. His parents were Rose Moody and Paul Johnson. He had 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Paul Johnson, Bill Johnson, Danny
Johnson, Sue Kinnear, and Mary Stein. His journey ended in Seattle Washington on September 24, 2024.
He follows his Mother Rose Stein, Father Paul Johnson, and Brother Paul Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Laura Johnson, two sons, a daughter, and two granddaughters.
David Johnson's life journey included moving to Proctor, Minnesota, attending school at Saint Rose in Duluth. He attended the University of Minnesota before being enlisting in the United States Air Force on May 16, 1969.
During his service with the Air Force, he was stationed in the following locations: Thailand, Bitsburg, Germany, and Travis Air Force Base in California. He traveled the world during his life and was
known to have set foot on all the continents including Antarctica. He was honorably discharged on March 21st, 1977.
Following his discharge from the Air Force, David lived in Napa, California before eventually moving back to Minnesota. He then relocated to the Seattle area to help his brother Paul. It was in the Seattle area that he met his wife Laura.
During his career at Boeing, David Johnson worked on many projects, including the Inertial Upper Stage program which was part of the Titan IV rocket program and the Space Shuttle launching system. David Johnson loved to walk in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping. He enjoyed a wide range of music, from country to opera and classical music. David Johnson was an avid reader of a wide range of books. David Johnson was also an avid storyteller.
David Johnson was a proud member of AA for 48 years, where he touched many people with his support and love.
