David Michael "Mike" Keller, 82, of
Peoria, Arizona, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Mike will be remembered for his humor, kindness, loyalty, and the boundless love he shared with everyone around him.
Born on March 11, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, Mike was the younger brother to one sister and the twin brother to another - a childhood full of energy, sports, and family adventure. After growing up in Chicago, he remained deeply loyal to his roots, never wavering in his devotion to his hometown teams, particularly the Chicago Bears, even through the toughest seasons.
In December 1964, Mike married Barbara and together, they built a beautiful life centered on love, laughter, and dedication to family. Their union was blessed with two children, Kimberly and Michael. As years passed, Mike's circle of love grew to include his six grandchildren - Samantha, Christopher, Steven, David, Ryan, and Rachel - and his four great-granddaughters - Khloe, Riley, Adalynn, and McKenna. His family meant everything to him, and he never missed an opportunity to support them, celebrate them, and surround them with warmth and laughter.
Professionally, Mike was a driven and accomplished entrepreneur. He built a successful industrial chemical company, a testament to his determination, intelligence, and business acumen. He took pride not only in his work but in the team who helped him achieve success - many of whom became lifelong friends.
Athletics were always a part of Mike's life. He was known for his competitive yet joyful spirit, playing soft ball, basketball and golf. He retired on a golf course in Peoria and was a proud member of Blackstone Country Club, where he found both sport and friendship.
To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, "Grandpa" was a hero and a source of immense joy. Every Christmas Eve, he would gather all the children around and read *'Twas the Night Before Christmas*-a cherished family tradition that became the highlight of each holiday. His booming voice, twinkling eyes, and perfect comedic timing brought magic to the holidays and memories that will live on forever.
Above all, Mike will be remembered for his humor, generous heart, and the way he made everyone feel special. He had a gift for friendship and a presence that filled every room with warmth and laughter.
In keeping with his wishes, no formal service will be held. Mike preferred to be remembered not in sorrow, but in the joy, laughter, and love he brought to the world - a legacy that will live on in every heart he touched.
