David L. Keuntjes, age 60, of Whitewater, passed away on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at the Williams Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison WI.

David was born on February 17th, 1965, to Charles and Yvonne (Trickle) Keuntjes. He was the oldest of 6 children. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1983 he joined the United States Air Force and continued serving our country actively until 1987, at which time he continued another 2 years with the reserves.

David loved to travel and the military gave him the opportunity to explore the United States and beyond, traveling to Turkey during his deployment. He enjoyed working with the students and staff at UW Whitewater for over 10 years. He always said, "There is always something to learn". He also worked with Trek as a machinist for over 10 years. A few activities that he took part in are bowling leagues, pool tournaments, collecting baseball cards, he was an avid Brewer and Green Bay Packer fan, "He was always recruiting more fans". Most recently he enjoyed being able to drive the golf cart and his task was always to "maintain the campfire".

David is survived by 4 siblings, Todd (Theresa) Keuntjes, Mark (Sunshine) Keuntjes, Michelle (Louis) Hamel, and Miranda (Samuel) Paulus. He also has 5 children, Amanda (Rob) Clark, Samuel Bedene, Katie, Chastity Klinger, Noah Briggs Fischbach-Perez; 1 stepson, Freddie (LaShanda) Parker Klingforth; 16 grandchildren; lots of nieces and nephews; and friends that have become family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, LoriAnn Keuntjes.

We would like to thank Jessica with Nicolet Staffing for bringing the world to his fingertips, the laughter and stories that were shared will be treasured. We would also like to thank ALL the nurses and doctors at UW Madison & Williams Middleton Veterans Hospital for all their support and dedication.

Visitation will be held on August 19th, 2025, from 4pm -7pm at Ritchay Funeral Home 1950 12th Street St. Wisconsin Rapids, WI. At 7pm, a memorial service will be held along with military honors to follow.
