David William Kidd Sr.

David William Kidd Sr., 66, of Union Bridge, died June 12, 2022 at his home. Born March 7 1956 in Virginia, he was the son of the late Walker Albert Kidd and Betty Louise Steele Kidd. He was the husband of Patricia "Kelly" Kidd, which they just celebrated 44 years of marriage.
He was a graduate of Hayfield High School, then attending IBEW Local Union 26 Electrical School. Before retiring he worked as an electrician for Coastal Electric Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his garden, NASCAR, watching the Washington Redskins and listening to country music. He was a jack of all trades, and was everybody's superhero. David was a wonderful husband father grandfather ("Pop") and friend to all. He went above and beyond for anyone in need. He was a master conversationalist, made friends with everyone he met. One of his best quotes," got a problem, no problem". He was his grandson's best friend, he loved spending his days with them doing whatever they wanted. He enjoyed everything about being retired and living in his dream home with the love of his life and his son daughter in law and his grandbabies. He will forever be missed and never forgotten.
Surviving in addition to his wife is son David William Kidd Jr. and wife Kaitlin of Union Bridge, two beloved grandsons Connor D. Kidd and Logan J. Kidd, siblings Gary, Alan and Sharlene Kidd and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Butch, Bobby and Dennis Kidd.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 20 from 12 p.m. until time of service 1 p.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Frederick, with Pastor Sandi Evans Rogers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
