David F. Kline, Jr., 65, of Lewistown, passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 18, 2022 at Geisinger- Lewistown Hospital in The Emergency Department.
Born Monday December 24, 1956, a son of the late David Sr. and Arlene (Woods) Kline, and step-son of Phyllis Kline, who survives.
Devoted and doting husband for 28 years to Doris (Dorrie) Riegel Saylor Kline.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Nickea Vargas, and her husband Jon, and their children, Austin, Garrett and Carianne, of Burnham; his step-son, Kirk Saylor and his wife Raechelle, and their children, Terrence and Zane, of State College. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason and his brother Jim.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewistown.
Dave was a 1974 graduate of Chief Logan High School and attended Williamsport Community College.
Dave enjoyed TV PERIOD. He enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, was good at Wheel of Fortune, He watched The Young and The Restless, and Sanford and Sons daily. He will be buried with a TV remote in his hand.
Dave was a staunch Democrat, enough said!!
He enjoyed ten years of retirement after 35 years of dedicated service to Mifflin County PennDOT. Most of those years as a foreman. Serving proudly as the sign foreman where he and Dee Fisher kept things in order.
He and Dorrie traveled extensively and were working on having been to all 50 states when Covid hit.
He was famously known for keeping their vehicles immaculate, including the state truck. After watching it snow, sitting in his man cave sunroom, he was always a big help to his neighbors plowing their driveways on the four-wheeler. Most times with a big grin on his face
A graveside service in loving memory of Dave will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 22, 2022 at Mt. Rock Cemetery, with Rev. John Walters to officiate.
A funeral procession will be formed at King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown starting at 10:00 a.m., and will depart for the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. All in attendance are asked to please dress casually and bring a chair if needed

Dave's family would like to thank the team at FAME and the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital Emergency Department for their care and diligent work to try to save Dave's life.
