David E Knowles

David E. Knowles, 65 of Parma passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 following a brief illness. He was born in Buxton, Maine and loved everything that had to do with Maine, including moose and lighthouses. Dave loved horror movies and was looking forward to the new Godzilla movie. He collected rocks, fossils, geodes, and plants, and enjoyed fishing and the writings of Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft. Dave had a wicked sense of humor, could be somewhat sarcastic, and often wore a special pin which read, “Don’t blame me, I was left unattended”. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia (nee Marshall); daughters, Rebecca Baird (Brian) and Samantha McConnell (Jason); stepson, Nicholas McKeon; grandchildren, Chloe Knowles, Emily Baird, Keegan Baird, L.J. McConnell, Owen McConnell, and Kyla McConnell; great grandson, Milo Golier; mother, Donna Turchanik (Robert); and siblings, Timothy Knowles (Christine) and Wanda Carrigan (Scott Zietlow).

A Celebration of Life will be held at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church, 11680 Royalton Rd., North Royalton, Ohio, on Saturday, January 24.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, with the service beginning at 11:00 am.  There will be a reception immediately following.
