David Stephen Kolk, 57, of Hillsborough, NC passed away on Sunday, October 30th from sudden illness. He leaves behind his parents, Judith and Robert Kolk, his sister Lisa Kolk, dog Gracie and three children Christine, Caroline, and Dean Kolk.
Dave was born September 12, 1965 in Concord, Massachusetts. He was an accomplished hockey player and avid fan of all Boston sports teams. He was rarely caught without a Patriots hat. He attended Holderness High School and graduated from Vanderbilt University.
Shortly there after, Dave moved to Chapel Hill and has since been a resident of Orange County. He was a carpenter craftsman who loved renovating old houses all over the area. He was loved by everyone he met.
Dave had a lifelong love of the ocean and mother nature. He loved a good sunset, and could bring a smile to anyone's face.
