Dear Marcia, Darlene, and Cindy - I was so sad to hear that Dave had passed. I remember him being such a lighthearted and social guy who was always ready with a smile or a laugh. I know how difficult it is to lose a dad, Dar and Cindy. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Marcie and the girls, we send our love and deepest sympathy to you. We had so many wonderful memories of our meals and get togethers. Dave was always the person I could count on when I needed a referral of any kind. -- Love, Irmgard and Don Johnson

Dave Krause: Next-door neighbor to the Stevens at 2262 Resort Avenue. Friend to all he met. He was an avid fisherman and had a great sense of humor with a knack for storytelling. He and dad were good friends. Dave
would lend a helping hand with my dad's construction projects and was good at working with his hands. Dave and dad fished for salmon and trout in the big lake, and I got to tag along on many of these trips. These are some of the most fun and memorable times for me growing up in Beachwood. Dave had an uncanny ability to knock the edge off my dad's (Howard) moments if things weren't going so well out on the lake or if we lost a big fish with a good joke or story. I have no doubt he and my dad now have a moment to chat about the great times they had while fishing. Dave owned and operated a fire repair construction company and hired me as a helper to the carpenters and painters when I was laid off from my job. Dave helped people with his company by restoring and rebuilding their homes after a fire or other damage. Many times I was present when the customer teared up when they saw the progress being made with emotion and gratitude. He affected their lives in a positive way as helped to rebuild not just their home but to cope with the loss they had experienced. Dave was a good man with a good heart. I always looked up to him and he will be greatly missed. My condolences to you Marcie, Darlene and Cindy.

Marcia, Dar and Cindy, I am so sad to hear about Dave passing away. Our family (the Stevens') has so many wonderful memories and pictures of Dave. 'Mr. Krause'..."Oh no, call me Dave!" I think I was 7 when he told me that. He and my Dad were best buds for many years. Both members of the Steelheaders and fished together a lot. Your dad hired me as an office assistant at CPC when I was 18, pregnant and in dire need of a job. He helped me at a critical time in my life. I will always remember that and am forever grateful! Your Dad was awesome! Margaret
