David L. Barrett Sr., age 66 of New Carlisle, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2026. He was born October 29, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late George and Zella (Lentz) Barrett.
David was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a graduate of Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle, Ohio. He later went on to work at New Carlisle Chrysler Jeep and Dodge and then at Meijer Distribution for many years. David loved to listen to bluegrass, country, and classic rock music. He always looked forward to the month of October to listen to "Rocktober" on station 104.7. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, eating Reese's Cups, and eating southern foods. David will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He is survived by his sons, David Barrett Jr., Bobby Barrett, and James (Dominika) Barrett; granddaughters, Araya and Gabriela Barrett; brother, Wendell Barrett; niece, Sara Rowe; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Per David's wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
