Michael Robert Barrett Sr.

Michael Robert Barrett Sr., age 65, of Flint, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024. In accordance with Michael's wishes cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held 11AM, December 2, 2024 at Trinity Assembly of God 4363 W. Mt. Morris Rd, Mt. Morris, MI 48458. 

Michael was born on January 11, 1959 in Flint the son of the late Robert and Frances (Jones) Barrett. He worked for GM Buick UAW 599 for many years before his retirement. Michael and Cindy Schlegel were united in marriage on September 26, 1992 in Flint. He was a simple man who loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Michael enjoyed numbers by playing the lottery and helping with taxes. He could be found working on cars, model cars and telling his jokes to make his family and friends laugh. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; four children, Hollie (Jeff) Woodrum, Keri (Ryan) Gardner, Mandi (Kevin) Herron and Michael (Angela) Barrett Jr.; eight grandchildren, Madison, Jeffrey, Truston, Reagan, Luke, Aiden, Samuel and Aaron; three sisters, Kathleen Alander, Ruth Ann Brown and Theresa Barrett; and many nieces and nephews.
