David DeLaRosa, 53, of Holland Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 9, 2024. He was born on March 24, 1970 in Douglas Michigan.
David was a soft spoken, caring individual who brought a sense of comfort to those around him. David was not only known for his loving charismatic charm, but also his sense of humor and natural ability to make people laugh. David often spoke about his prevailing Faith and relationship with the Lord. As a child, David was presented to God. He attended Christ Memorial Church located in his hometown of Holland Michigan. David grew up in Holland and attended Holland High School. He would be seen driving his fathers red 1965 Mustang around the town. He later pursued a certification in welding. David also worked at Life Savers and Donnelly Mirrors located in Holland for a long period of time. Many of his coworkers spoke about his good character, how he was hard working, caring, generous, and an all around great guy to be around. Anyone that knew David, knew that he would give the shirt off his own back to anyone that needed it.
In his free time, David loved to listen to music. Some of his favorites include Kid Rock, Creed, Alice In Chains, and most importantly, Prince. David had a wide range of music that he loved, he also knew a thing or two about playing the drum set. David enjoyed watching boxing, his favorite boxer was Oscar De La Hoya. If there was a fight on television, you bet David was watching it. David also enjoyed playing video games. Some of his favorites include Mortal Kombat from Nintendo 64, NFL Blitz, and the card game spades. Out of all the games David enjoyed playing, the one he enjoyed the most, and by far, was the game of chess. Chess was a hobby of David's all on its own. He was very strategic and knowledgeable in the game. David enjoyed a day spent outside grilling up a steak with his favorite seasonings, along with a good game of chess.
David is survived by his father, Gustavo DeLaRosa, mother, Juanita DeLaRosa. Brother Esequiel DeLaRosa, sister Linda(Tom) Toney, sister Elizabeth(Kevin) Rankens. Uncle Ramiro(Amparo) Herrera. Son David Jr.(Sodaney) DeLaRosa, daughter Mariah(Larry) Fitch, son Brandon DeLaRosa. Grandsons Jayden DeLaRosa, Mason Fitch, Danny DeLaRosa, Myles Fitch. Granddaughter's Maia DeLaRosa and Mila Fitch.
David was passionate about his children and grandchildren. He spoke with a full heart when talking about them. This was a love that brought joy and comfort to David. David's memory will forever be cherished, he will always be missed, and be forever loved by them.
A Celebration of Life will be held for David by his family at Merchant Hall 438 Washington Ave, Holland, Mi. 49423 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on March 30th.

Our heart felt sadness and prayers about David´s passing go out to our Daughter-in -law Mariah and all of her family. I was only given the pleasure of meeting David on a few occasions but remember him being a soft spoken man and had such a unique look and personality about him that he made you feel like you had known him forever. You could tell he loved his children and grandchildren very much, making a special trip to see them and bring them really cool Easter baskets on one occasion. I know Mariah loved him deeply and he will be missed tremendously. God Bless your family and always know that David loved you.

My deepest condolences to the De la Rosa Family, to the many relatives and close friends. To me , David was a life long friend, I seen him as a true brother..A fond memory of us ,we would us discussing every Big boxing fight coming around the corner, talk strategically how it would unfold..Many of fights we could just be as commentators, he loved the sweet science.. So many more memories I´ll cherish..The man I knew would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. Rest in Peace my brother.
My thoughts and prayers to all who knew and Loved Dave.!!

My friend & Brother in Christ, David Delarosa was a wonderful person to be around. We had worked together and become friends ever since we met. We often shared stories about our children and I stayed with him last fall when I traveled down to get chestnut seedlings for our family farm up north. We recently shared the fun of following the Detroit Lions 2023 season. Missing him deeply & condolences to his son, to Mariah, & all his family & friends. - Leo. When I heard the news of my cousin David Delarosa's passing. David often reminisced about the cherished moments we shared as kids, surrounded by family and friends during the holidays.
His longing for those times and his unwavering memories were always evident in our conversations. He found solace in the words of my dad, finding comfort and encouragement in bible verses he shared.
David's love for his family, especially his father Gus, was immeasurable. He spoke of Gus's unconditional love with such admiration and gratitude.
Though David's departure weighs heavily on our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that he is now free from pain and suffering.
I find solace in knowing he's reunited with loved ones. Please give a big hug to my sister Esmeralda, Grandpa and Grandma. RIP David Delarosa.
