David M. LaPointe, of Charlestown, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born in Fort Fairfield, ME to his loving parents, the late Adrian and Mary Lou (Ardine) LaPointe. He was the devoted husband to Kristie (Daubert) LaPointe for 46 years.Dave was a proud veteran of the US Navy and a CPCU for various insurance companies. Anyone who knew Dave would tell you what a generous and kind hearted person he was. He was always very proud of the person his son, Scott, has become. His grandchildren, Tyler and Ashlyn were the light of his life. His other passions were kayaking, running, riding his bike, and fixing anything someone would need help with. He always made sure things were in pristine condition. Dave was a kind and quiet man, but always showed his generosity by helping others. If you were to ask anyone who he came across, they would tell you a story of something he helped them with no matter how big or small the job was.
Dave is survived by his wife, Kristie; his son Scott (Samantha) and his grandchildren, Tyler and Ashlyn; his sister Lori Bryant (Jon); his brother Jeff, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his life-long best friend, Marty Phelps.
He is preceded in death by his father, Adrian, his mother, Mary Lou, and his brothers, Gary, Tom, Jim, and Danny.
A husband and father like you is rare, one that is so generous and kind. A husband and father like you is what everyone needs, always doing great deeds. Nothing can replace a husband and father like you, but when you get to heaven God will be lucky to have you too. You will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
At David's request, funeral services will be private.
