David J. Ledsome 49, of Midvale, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton. He was born on March 1, 1974 in Ft. Knox, Ky. to Russell and Nancy (Trucinski) Ledsome who preceded him in death. As a child, David developed his life long love of camping, fishing, and football. As soon as Spring came you would always find him at his favorite campsite in Morgan County, Ohio relaxing after a long day of catching large mouth bass on the lake. When it was football season you would find David cheering on his beloved Indian Valley Braves, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns either in person, by radio or on the T.V. He was a 1992 graduate of Indian Valley High School. David was a gentle man with a loving heart and a smile that would brighten up the darkest room. He is going to be missed by the love of his life Mary (Winland) who he would have celebrated 25 years of marriage on October 16th. In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister Danielle (Mike) Watters of Georgia, sister in law Jackie Winland of Strasburg whom affectionately referred to him as "Brudder", mother in law Jessie Winland of Midvale, niece Dusti Ledsome of Georgia, nephew Derek Ledsome of New Philadelphia, his Aunt Julia Meese who he lovingly referred to as his "Bonus Mom" and other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews great nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his uncle Dean Meese who he considered his "Bonus Dad".
In keeping with David's wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of David, please visit our Tree Store.
