Robert James Kimmel, 82, of Bolivar, died Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Union Hospital in Dover after a brief illness. Born December 17, 1943 in Dover, he was a son of the late Robert J. and Connie (Zifer) Kimmel, Sr. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Dover and attended Ohio State University. He operated Grandma Zifer's Pizza Shop in Dover and Marlene's Pizza Shop in Bolivar for many years. Robert is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Kimmel of Thousand Oaks, California, a brother Ray (Sharon) Hisrich of Ragersville and several cousins and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service is being planned for a later date. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements.
