David Kingsley Leist

David Kingsley Leist, age 61, of Plain City, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 15, 2025, following a sudden heart attack.
Born June 17, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio, David was a graduate of Fairbanks High School. He was a talented and resourceful business owner, operating carpet cleaning, landscaping, and handyman businesses over the years. He took pride in his work and was always willing to help friends, neighbors, and local businesses with all kinds of projects.
David loved animals-especially dogs-and leaves behind his two beloved companions, Midge and Hera.
He is survived by his son, David E. Leist; aunt, Rebecca Armstrong Stamm; cousins: Angela (Craig) Combs, Mark Smith, and Matthew (Columba) Smith; second cousin Nathan Combs; his best friend, Dominic Howley who was like a brother to him; and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, David K. Leist; beloved grandparents Emerson and Marjorie Armstrong; mother, Mary Ann Moore; stepfather, Jack Moore; girlfriend of 20 years, Annette Damron; and many devoted canine companions.
A Memorial Service will take place at Ferguson Funeral Home 202 East Main Street Plain City, Ohio 43064 on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 6 PM. Family and Friends may visit beginning at 5:30 PM.
