Josephine Ann Leist

Josephine A. "Vicki" Leist, of Washington Crossing, PA, died suddenly on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. She was 92 years old.
Vicki was the loving wife of the late Donald Leist. The couple had shared 63 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Vicki was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angela Periano Shirley. She is also predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Joan and William Searcy, Angela and John Law, and Daniel Shirley. Vicki will be missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald A. and Sandy Leist of Yardley, Steve and Pat Leist of Holland, and Michael J. Leist of Pipersville; her grandchildren, Eric and Rachel Leist, Amy Leist and fiancé Matt Zerbe, Julianne and Tyler Sherman, and Jolene Leist; and her two great-grandsons, Jackson Leist and Archie Leist. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Joseph Jr. and Dottie Shirley; her sister-in-law, Gail Shirley, and her loving caregiver, Bea.
Vicki had a great love for her family, especially her four grandchildren. While raising her young sons, Vicki was a Cub Scout Leader. She also spent time as a volunteer at St. Mary Hospital, and she was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Vicki enjoyed the Jersey shore and spent many happy years at her home in Wildwood Crest. Vicki and Don enjoyed traveling and had many fun memories of visiting exciting locations. Her hobbies included Square Dancing with her husband and many friends, as well as expressing her creative side through her beautiful watercolor paintings.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Vicki's family on Friday, September 12, 2025 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 999 Reading Avenue in Yardley, PA 19067, from 10:00am, until the start of her Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Her interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
