David A. "Dave" Levin

David Allan "Dave" Levin, 71, of Norwich, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. A beloved husband, father, and friend, Dave will be remembered most for his warmth, humor, and the deep kindness he extended to everyone he met.
Born on January 30, 1954, in Miami, Florida, to Allan F. and Evelyn M. Levin, Dave grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. A graduate of The Peddie School in 1972, he went on to serve his country with pride aboard the USS Sculpin (SSN 590) as an EMN1 (SS) from November 1975 to November 1981. On September 25, 1982, he married the love of his life, Cathy, beginning a beautiful partnership that spanned more than four decades.
Dave's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cathy A. Levin, and his children: Tiffany (William), Brent, Megan (Mike), Andrea, and Jennifer (Josh). He is also survived by his grandchildren, whom he adored: David, Sofia, and Levi. As well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan and Evelyn Levin, his sister Barbara Levin, and his brother Andrew Levin.
Passionate about the Philadelphia Eagles, Dave was known for cheering on his team with unwavering enthusiasm. Outside of sports, nothing brought him more happiness than spending time surrounded by his family. He was, above all, smart, loving, kind, and undeniably funny-a combination that made him truly unforgettable.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held on January 31, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at VFW Post 10004, 263 Taylor Hill Rd, Jewett City, Connecticut. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of DaVita Kidney Care, Backus Hospital, American Ambulance, and the Greenville Fire Department for their care and compassion.
In place of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association in Dave's memory.
