David Curtis Livingston, 70, passed peacefully at home in Ballston Lake, New York, on August 3, 2025. Born on October 15, 1954 (during Tropical Storm Hazel) in Niskayuna, NY, he was the son of the late Donald I. and Irene J. (Imel) Livingston.
Dave was a graduate of BH-BL School. After high school, he served in the United States Navy on the USS Edward McDonnell (DE-1043) as a 632-Ordnance Mechanic, gaining experience working with torpedos. After being discharged from the Navy, he continued his education at SUNY SCC College with a degree in Culinary Arts. He will be remembered as a talented chef.
Dave was married to Jane Hart, who predeceased him in 2007. For many years, he worked for Knolls Atomic Power Lab in facility maintenance. Throughout his life, he was an avid bowler and woodworker.
Dave is survived by his brother, Marvin D. Livingston, of Charlton, New York; his Sister-in-Law, Mary Brandt, and her husband, Ted, of Burnt Hills, New York; and His Brother-in-Law, Spencer Hart, and his wife, Rebecca, of Ballston Spa, New York. He is also predeceased by his brother, Robert Niles Livingston, who passed in 2010.
Military honors and burial services will be held on Thursday, August 28th 12 PM at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871. Please arrive at the cemetery by 11:45 AM.
