David Jerome Lodahl

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Jerome Lodahl, age 50, on September 20, 2025. He was the beloved father of three daughters who he fondly referred to as the "girlies"-Alexis, Morgan, and Kaylin Lodahl-and their mother, Alissa, all of whom will carry his memory with them always.

David was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and moved to Necedah, Wisconsin, as a young child. He graduated from Necedah High School in 1994 and went on to earn a degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay.

David was known for his entrepreneurial spirit and lifelong passion for sports. As a child, he loved playing basketball, and he remained a devoted fan throughout his life. He especially admired Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics. Each year, he looked forward to March Madness, with the UNC vs. Duke rivalry holding a special place in his heart. He was also a loyal supporter of the Atlanta Braves and the Minnesota Vikings. Beyond his love of sports, David made a lasting impact through his business, Dave Closing Services-a real estate transaction company he proudly founded nearly 20 years ago in Matthews, North Carolina. Through his work, he touched the lives of many and earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

He is survived by his daughters and his siblings: Debbie (Phil) Henry of Onalaska, WI; Diane (Dennis) Schuh of Johnson Creek, WI; Dan (Michelle) Lodahl of Sturgeon Bay, WI; Mike Lodahl of Sturgeon Bay, WI; Maria (William) Poss of Holmen, WI; and Jeanie (Kurt) Miller of Friendship, WI. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. David was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Shirley Lodahl.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, located at 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made toward the college education of his daughters.
