In Loving Memory of
Our Son and Brother
David Michael Lomas
March 12, 1990 – November 6, 2025
With our hearts shattered and our lives forever changed, we share the passing of our son and brother, David Michael Lomas. Born on March 12, 1990, in Portland, Oregon to Artemio Lomas and Lisa Torres, David came into this world with a fire that never once dimmed.
David lived bold. He lived loud. He lived with a strength and a presence that made us proud every single day. He loved cooking, blasting his music, cheering for his Seattle Seahawks, and proudly claiming #18 as his favorite. He was drawn to the roar of fast cars, motorcycles, low riders, and the steady power of semis. His personality matched the movies he loved-Scarface, The Godfather, Casino-classic, intense, unforgettable.
David had a love for the colors navy blue, black, and grey, a love for pretty women, and a love for freedom-cruising, partying, laughing, and living life on his own terms. He was a grinder, a hustler, someone who pushed through life with a toughness, bravery, and loyalty that everyone around him felt. When David loved you, you knew it. When he stood by you, it was with his whole heart.
More than anything, David loved family.
We, his parents, carry a pain that words can't hold. His mother, Lisa Torres, and his father, Artemio Lomas, will forever feel the emptiness his absence leaves. And we honor Abel Torres, David's stepfather, who helped raise him, love him, guide him, and shape him into the man we were all so proud of. Abel's presence in David's life was strong, steady, and deeply meaningful.
David leaves behind his brothers and sisters-
Jason Rubio, Kevin Rubio, Lola Torres, Abel Torres Jr.,
Giselle Lomas, Priscilla Lomas, Troy Lomas, Kevin Lomas, and A.J. Lomas-
each holding onto their own memories, their own stories, their own reasons why David was so much more than just a sibling. He was their protector, their friend, their strength, and their constant.
He is also remembered with love by his aunt and uncle, Barbara Cordova and Rex Cordova, who cherished him deeply.
Losing David has taken a piece of us that can never be replaced. His laugh, his energy, his loyalty, his wild spirit, the way he brought life into every room-those things will echo in our hearts forever. He lived hard, he loved hard, and he stayed true to who he was. There will never be another like him.
David, our son, our brother we will carry you with us for the rest of our lives. Your story doesn't end here. It continues in us, in every memory we hold, and in the love that will never fade.
Rest easy, David. We love you more than life itself.
