Luis Martinez Lomas Jr. was born on February 4th, 1946, in Bakersfield, CA. He passed away peacefully at home on January 27th, 2026 at the age of 79.
He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and served his country as part of the 1st Cavalry Airmobile Division.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis Martinez Lomas, Sr., and Carmen DeSigio, his children, Christopher and Christine, and his brothers, Jesus, Ruben, and Salvador.
He is survived by his wife, Darcie, his sons, Tim, Jack, and Edward, his daughter, Jennifer, his grandchildren, Alexandra, Yolanda, Olivia, and William, his sister, Jane, and his brother, Ralph.
A graveside service will take place at Bakersfield National Cemetery on February 10th, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Daddy,
Today makes a week and it feels like simultaneously the longest week of my life. I miss you. I can only hope that you are proud of me as I learn to navigate life without you and I hope you know how grateful I am that you were my father. I would choose to be your daughter in every lifetime.
Tomorrow is your birthday and I'll eat a maple bar for you. I love you forever.
