David Luz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home on Mar. 11, 2024.
David Coleman Luz, Jr., 29, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Burlington, after a brief illness with PAH.
He was born in Lowell on February 15, 1995, and was the son of Jenna Wojtowicz of Chelmsford and the late David Coleman Luz, Sr. of Billerica, who passed away in 2023.
David was a graduate of Nashoba Valley Technical High School with the Class of 2013. He worked as a service team leader at Wegmans in Burlington. He loved his Wegmans family and often enjoyed going to Tony C's after work with his friends. David was a kind and generous soul. You could always find him at the movies, as he was a true movie buff. He would gladly talk about any movie, especially Fast and Furious.
David was the first-born grandchild in his family and will be dearly missed by all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many, many friends. He is irreplaceable.
In addition to his loving mother, David leaves his siblings, Julia Champagne of Waltham, and John Champagne of Leominster; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Debra Comtois of Chelmsford, and Francis and Susan Wojtowicz of Dracut; his paternal grandparents, Leonard Luz of North Carolina and Mary Luz of Derry, NH; and his aunts and uncles, Erin and Steve Guerin of Dracut, Joel and Kelly Dolan of Salem, NH, Samantha Wojtowicz and Jack Wojtowicz both of Dracut, Leonard and Danielle Luz of Lowell, Mark and Dawn Luz of Manchester, NH, Curtt and Clark Shay of Lowell, and Beth Luz of Arizona. He also leaves many cousins and dear friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 4 – 8 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 14, at 10 am at Westlawn II Cemetery, 305 Boston Rd., Lowell. KINDLY GATHER AT THE CEMETERY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to the American Heart Association at heart.org.

David was one of the sweetest, most generous people we knew in Massachusetts. My son loved him and we will never forget our visits to Wegmans, his kindness and respect for all people big and small gives us hope and are an example that we shouldn´t at all take for granted the goodness in the world.

My first memory of David was him having the time of his life on a 4 wheeler! I have rarely met such a gentle man! What a good person! He will be sorely missed!

Will miss talking to him. He had the calmest demeanor even when the customer was wrong and rude. He never talked down to them and was always kind. I will miss seeing his smiling face.

Will miss chatting with him at work.
Your compassion to others will be always remembered. He was so caring and kind to my wife at the store always saying hi to her. You will be missed.

I never had a chance to meet David, but I know what a true and important friend he was to my daughter. He made such a difference in her life, and inspired her through his kind and generous actions. He was a bright light for my daughter and so many others. My sincere condolences to all the family and those impacted by his sudden loss.
