David R. Macaluso

David R. Macaluso, age 88 of Reminderville passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025. He was born in Ohio to the late Thomas and Jeanette (Swauger) Macaluso. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary (Williams) Macaluso, brother Richard Macaluso and a son-in-law Mark Federan. David is survived by his loving daughters, Jeanine (Jim) Butkovic, Sherry Federan and Christina (Gary) Gugliotta; his dear 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. David served in the US Army (101st Airborne division) where he earned a Soldier of the Month award. He then returned home with his wife Mary to own and operate the Fireside Restaurant in Twinsburg from 1963 to 1993 along with the adjacent Clevelander Motor Motel. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories, singing songs, watching classic films and spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Monday, December 15, 2025 at Busch-Romito Funeral Home, 9819 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio (330) 425-2244 where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. Entombment at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Twinsburg will follow.
