TUPPER LAKE - A Graveside service for David L. Mace, age 78, of Tupper Lake, will be held on Friday, August 15th, at 9:00 AM at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Father Severinus Torwoe officiating. David passed away on August 9, 2025, surrounded by his family. Arrangements have been entrusted under the care and guidance of Frary Funeral Home, Tupper Lake.

David was born on April 7, 1947, in Saranac Lake, NY, to Henry and Cora (Donaldson) Mace. He worked as a carpenter for most of his life, contributing his skills to projects for Bartlett Carry, Donaldson Lumber & Construction, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation including at the Bob Run and Fish Hatchery. On May 29, 1968, he married Kathleen "Taffy" Moeller in Malone, NY. A talented and passionate craftsman, David enjoyed painting, carving, and woodworking.

David is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Taffy" Mace of Tupper Lake; his children, Heather Mace of Tupper Lake, Kimberly (Keith) Shackett of Malone, NY; his step-grandchildren, Alexander (Abril) Shackett of Grand Island, NY; his step-great-grandchild, Damian Shackett; his brother, Thomas (Joyce) Mace, of Lake Clear, NY. He is predeceased by his parents; and his brothers, Floyd Mace, Paul Mace, and Lawrence Mace; and nephews and niece.
