David Randall "Randy" Machin, age 89 of Rochester Hills, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 11, 2025. Loving husband of Muriel for over 64 years. Dear father of Rebecca Machin (Andrew Thomas) and Melissa (John) Siskowic. Cherished grandfather of Sarah Mazur.
David was born on February 14, 1936 in Lonaconing, Maryland. He graduated from Pontiac High School in 1954 and Oakland Community College with a degree in business, and worked 23 years at the Post Office, where he retired.
David wore many hats in life, husband, father, bagpiper for the Shriners, postal worker, Past Master in the Masonic Temple, storyteller, jokester and rock hound, and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. If desired, memorials may be made to Shrine Hospitals.

Our heartfelt sympathies to the Machin family at Randy's passing. We became neighbors of Randy and Muriel when we moved to Colorado Avenue in 1969, when it was a dirt road! Every evening Randy or others in his family would greet us as we walked our Golden Retriever up the street.
Randy showed he was a true neighbor on several occasions when he came down with his pickup truck, snowplow attached, and cleared my long driveway when my puny lawn tractor couldn't handle the snow! In my mind, I can still hear his playing the pipes as he practiced for an event. Rest well, Randy!
