Beloved brother, cousin, friend passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at his home, with his family at his side. Age 66 years.
The son of the late Milton Melvin and Wanda Eleonora (Frederick) Mackey, Davey was born on July 27, 1958. He graduated from Hemlock High School, with the class of 1976. Davey worked at Turner Farm, known as Son-Dale Farm, and other local farms for 36 years of loyal and dedicated service. A member of the Lutheran faith. In his spare time, Davey enjoyed creating models of farming equipment, often using local farms as inspiration. He shared his creations at the Saginaw County Fair and with fellow farmers. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and the joy he brought to those around him.
Surviving are his sister, Susan Mackey; his aunt, Lois Frederick; cousins, Brian and Joann Frederick and family, Keith and Amy Frederick and Family, and Brenda Frederick (friend, Kathy) and family. Also surviving are many dear neighbors and friends.
A private committal service will take place at Fremont Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity of your choice.
