David Cecil Maddex passed away October 18, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 64 years. He was born March 11, 1960 in Macon, Missouri.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest (Slim) and Theresa Maddex; brother Gene Maddex; sister-in-law Lovetta Maddex; and brother-in-law Tommy Anderson.
He is survived by his son, Lance (Melissa) Maddex; grandchildren Chase, Kyle, and Raelyn; Siblings Robert (Cindy) Maddex, Donald (Marva) Maddex, Jerry (Trudy) Maddex, Joyce Shepherd, and Ernest (Beverly) Maddex; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
David will be remembered as a kind and generous man. Warm and outgoing, he never met a stranger. A devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend; he loved his family with all his heart and will be missed by all those whose lives he was fortunate enough to touch.
Memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO with Silas "Marty" Lowe officiating. A memorial visitation will precede the service from 9 am to 11 am. A private interment will be held in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris, MO.
