He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jeanette Mayers, and his brother Fred Mayers.

A celebration of Dave's life will be held at the Kingsford Funeral Home, 1000 S. Carpenter Ave., on Friday, January 2, 2026. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Sullivan officiating the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank the RN, Cheyenne Moyer, in the Emergency Room of Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, Dr. Leslie Dishaw, Dr. Gustavo Morel and the entire staff at Maryhill Manor for their compassionate care.
