David Simon Mazon was born to Simon and Dolores Mazon in San Pedro California on May 5, 1958. He was a resident of Tishomingo Oklahoma and passed away on March 17, 2025.
David was a character, a legend with a lifetime of stories and one-liners creating laughter with everyone he knew and came across. David had a wealth of knowledge on many subjects that he loved to share with anyone who would listen. David followed in his dad's footsteps and drove an 18-wheeler across the country. He had an unwavering love for all his family, his daughters and sisters that was untouched by the miles that separated them.
David is survived by his partner Becky Golden, step-mother Bobbie Mazon, daughters Roxanne Mazon, Jennifer Malam and husband Niki, Kathlene Massuere and husband David, sisters Sylvia Safley and husband John, Arleen Serrato, Eileen Adams and husband Marc, Dorothy Padilla and husband Henry; grandchildren Jack, Harrison, Leo, Ethan, Noah, Thea, Allen, Tyler, Tiara, Jake, Devon, Alyee, Jacee, Allyne, Jacqson, Isaac, Victoria; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. David shared a special bond with his cousins Cheryl, Donna, and Gail with whom he had a kindred spirit.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Dolores Mazon, sisters Liebe Martinez and Joyce Lopez, and nephews Jimmy, Brian, and Uriah.
A private celebration of David's life will be held at his home on Sunday, March 23 2025. David will be laid to rest at Tishomingo Cemetery on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Pallbearers will be John Safley, Henry Padilla, Niki Malam, Lawrence Safley, David Massuere, and Harrison Davies.
Honorary pallbearer "little brother Mack".
Special thanks to first responder and family member Amanda Smith.
