David Dale McCauslin

David Dale McCauslin died peacefully of pneumonia on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Hershey Medical Center. Dave's immune system was weakened by six years of lung cancer treatments and his body simply could not fight off infections anymore.
Dave was born in Harrisburg, PA on January 30, 1956. His life's path took him to Virginia, Texas, Florida and Toronto, in varied fields of employment. Dave was a friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob, celebrating eighteen years of sobriety earlier this year. His life was an example of what he learned from them. He spent his final days of employment at a Daystar treatment center providing physical plant services.
Dave's free and uplifting spirit affected everyone whose life he touched. Always willing to lend a hand or brighten someone's day, his life became a life of service. As a child of the 60's, he advocated for the disadvantaged and was known for his daily posting of peace signs on his Facebook page. Dave loved riding his motorcycle and recently rekindled his love of gardening. He is survived by his companion Elaine Smith of West Hanover Township, PA and his two cats – Chippy and Clarence.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 2-5:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 530 Bridge St., New Cumberland, PA.
