David Lee McClure

October 15, 1959 - September 26, 2025

It is with overwhelming sadness that David passed away late Friday night, September 26, 2025.

David was born October 15, 1959 to Raymond and Loretta McClure. He was the youngest of their eight children.

David was always a good kid and the quiet one. He was always a hard worker and would help you in any way he could. Once your friend always your friend. He was a very laid back and easy going person. My grandmother was 39 years old when David was born. So quite a few of us nieces and nephews grew up with David. He was our first friend in life

David worked at Woody's as a teenager and that lead to a career in the grocery store business. David worked for Piggly Wiggly, Tawakoni Grocery and Brookshires meeting many friends along the way.

David is survived by his only sibling, Wanda Standlee of Celeste. Whom he called two or three times a week. Mom always put him on speaker phone and I can just hear him saying "hey Wanda". We talked and laughed about old times and things happening in the world. We already miss him so much.

David is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Brian McClure who grew up more like his big brother. Victor McClure, Janice Harrod, Johnny Bramlett, Sandra Simpson, Tammy Anderson, Shane McClure, Bruce McClure, Justin Bowman and many more.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Loretta McClure, brothers Jimmy McClure, Bobby McClure, Jerry McClure, Mike McClure and sisters Betty Jenkins and Carolyn Pippin.

David will be missed by his family very much. May you rest in peace David. We love you.

A Celebration of Life for the family will be held at a later date.
