David Dean McLemore

David Dean McLemore, 65, of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024.
David was born October 30, 1958 in Fort Smith, son of Orben D. "Mac" McLemore and Peggy Heslip McLemore.
He was an "Army Brat" reared and received his early education in schools in Aschaffenburg, Germany, Junction City, Kansas, San Francisco, California, Fairbanks, Alaska, Carlisle, Pennsylvania and North Little Rock, before moving to Pine Bluff in High School and graduating from Jefferson Preparatory School.
David attended the University of Central Arkansas. He loved sports, especially football, the Razorbacks and UCA Bears.
He, like his parents, had a passion for taking care of people. He worked in management of private clubs in Little Rock, Osceola and Helena, Arkansas for several years as well as working with his dad at Pine Bluff Country Club in the late 1980s. David was a member of the Razorback Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America.
Along with his love of sports, David enjoyed music by Eric Clapton, Pat Bethea and Pat Metheny and going to the horse races, and dancing when he was a young man.
David was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mom, Peggy McLemore an uncle, The Reverend (retired) Larry Heslip (Amy) of Katy, Texas and several cousins.
David was a Christian from a young age, serving as an acolyte in chapel services at Military bases wherever his dad was serving. As an adult, he was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2024 at Trinity Episcopal Church with The Reverend Jesse Reeves officiating by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
