David D. " Right On" McVicker, age 71, was called to his Heavenly Home on Friday, September 12, 2025, at his home.
David was born May 7, 1954, in Lima, OH, to Edgar Eugean and Juanita (Wicker) McVicker, who both preceded him in death.
David was a 1973 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He was a licensed electrician and had worked for Wolfe Industries, which later became HCR Manor Care. David was a caring, compassionate person who loved helping others. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by a stepson, Jared (Aimee) Satterfield of Waynesfield; sisters, Diane (Jim) Wittes of Lakeview, Irene (Brad) Pepple of Lima, Vera Vaske of Lima, and Kathleen G. (Paul) Spangler of Lakeview, and Dovie (Danny) Pellegrini of Lima; sisters-in-law, Joyce McVicker of Lima, and Diana McVicker-Schumaker of Lima; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Edgar McVicker, Richard McVicker, Donald McVicker, Victor McVicker; and sisters, Marilyn Mickey Campbell, and Janet McVicker.
Services celebrating David's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Major Phil Tamayo will officiate. The burial of cremated remains will be in LaFayette Cemetery, LaFayette, Ohio at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18th, before the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Daily Bread, 125 S. Central Ave, Lima, OH 45801, or the Lima Rescue Mission, 216 E. Wayne St, Lima, OH 45801.
