David Mendenhall Obituary
Burlington-David W. Mendenhall, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 28, 2025. He was born in Orange County to the late Eber Orlando and Dutch Arline Pattishall Mendenhall.
David was an accountant for over 30 years and cab driver with Golden Eagle Taxi for a decade. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and usher over the years. He enjoyed supporting the NC State Wolfpack, traveling to the mountains and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Sherry Ann Clark Mendenhall of the home; son, Chris Mendenhall and wife, Alexandria Mao of San Francisco, California; daughter, Amanda Mendenhall of the home; granddaughter, Kaiya Mao Mendenhall; sister, Mary Jane Mendenhall of Apex, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Ralph Lane Mendenhall.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 12:30-1:45 PM and host a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Harvest Baptist Church by Rev. Daniel Webster and Rev. Larry Lamberth. To visit the family outside of the visitation and service, please message the family directly.
