Bessemer City - Mr. David Earl "Jr." Miller, 70, formerly of Cochranton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Atrium Health - Lincoln in Lincolnton, NC.
Jr. was born on October 4, 1954 in Sandy Lake, PA a son of the late David Eugene Miller and Clara Troyer Miller. He was a retired truck driver. Jr. had a passion for bluegrass music. He played with the Wildwood Express and most recently had his own group Jr. Miller and the Bluegrass Cutups. Jr. was a member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church in Conneaut Lake, PA and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville.
Survivors include a son, Marvin Miller and wife Keri of Cherryville; two daughters, Carol Thibault and husband Jason of Atlantic, PA and Melissa White and husband Adam of Lincolnton, NC; four grandchildren, Sabrina Reese, Zachary Locke, Blaine and Katie Thibault; a sister, Betty Beachy of Sandy Lake, PA; two brothers, William Miller of Hadley, PA and Lester Miller of Sandy Lake, PA. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews who were very special to Jr.
A celebration of life and jam session will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Cherryville Community Center S. Jacob Street, Cherryville, NC 28021.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Cherryville Shrine Club 124 Harbor Point Drive, Cherryville, NC 28021.
