On Thursday, October 30, 2025, David John Miller Sr, known by many as "DJ, Hillbilly or Grandpa", passed away unexpectedly at the age of 62 at Christiana Hospital, Newark De.

David was born on September 20, 1963, to Robert and Ada Mae (Steffy) Miller in Pottstown, PA, Montgomery County. He was the 2nd of 4 sons. David worked in Maintenance in Kennett Consolidated School District till he obtained his CDL License and started being with Ralph G Smith, West Chester, PA hauling racehorses to various locations in various states.

David was an avid horse racing fan, whether he was at the racetrack or watching them on television. He enjoyed crabbing, clamming, spending weekends in Chincoteague, VA with family and friends while sons were growing up, watching football, family gatherings.

David is preceded in death by his son, Jonathan, Maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruth Ann (Heath) Miller; 2 sons, David (Heather) of Delaware City and Jeffrey (Rachel) of Elkton, MD; his parents, Robert of Shrewsbury, PA and Ada Mae Miller of West Grove, PA; 3 brothers, Robert Miller Jr. of Nottingham, PA, Bill (Tina) Miller of Oxford, PA, Wes (Missy) Miller of York, PA; 11 grandchildren, Makayla, Aiden, Jeffrey Jr., Christopher, Alexander, Mackenzie, Sierra, Cayden, Kaylie, Alana and Allissa.

Memorial/Celebration of life will be held at a later time.
