David M. Millette a beloved husband, father, and friend, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, November 22 , 2023, at UVMMC in Burlington. He was 65 years old.

David was born on February 21, 1958, in Burlington to Richard and Theresa (Roy) Millette. He spent his childhood in Underhill and went on to graduate from Mount Mansfield Union High School in 1978. On May 26th, 1979, David married the love of his life, Pamela Anne Lamore, at St. Pius Catholic Church in Essex Center. Together they built a beautiful life centered around family and love.

Throughout his career, David worked at UVMMC for most of his professional life. Prior to that, he held positions at Burlington Drug, Goss Dodge, and A&P. He dedicated himself to his work and made a positive impact on the lives of those he interacted with.

David's greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family. He cherished every moment spent with his wife Pam and their sons Travis Millette and Claudine Baupre of Essex and Nathan Millette of Bolton. His granddaughters Amrie, Raelynn, Ashlyn, Scarlett, Violet were the lights of his life.

Among David's many passions was smoking brisket. He took pride in perfecting the art of smoking meat and delighted in sharing delicious meals with family and friends. Travel was another one of David's loves - he had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed exploring new places whenever possible. Additionally, David formed a special bond with his cat Bumble; their companionship brought him comfort and joy.

David is survived by his loving wife Pam; his sons Travis Millette and Claudine Baupre; Nathan Millette; his granddaughters Amrie, Raelynn, Ashlin, Scarlett, Violet; his siblings Lea Rideout, Richard and Lynn Millette, Paul and Karen Millette, Paula and Terry Breedlove, Judith and Tony Willey, Thomas and Linda Millette, Jennifer and Ken Ferno; his brother-in-law Dan Cabrera; Pam's brothers Raymond Lamore, Andrew and Staci Lamore; along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Theresa, his sister Karen Cabrera, and his brother-in-law David Rideout.

In addition to his loving family, David touched the lives of many through a remarkable act of kindness. He was a kidney donor recipient  for over 34 years, exemplifying the profound impact of organ donation. David wanted everyone to understand the importance of this selfless act that can save lives.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 30th, 2023, from 2pm to 4pm at the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. A service to celebrate David's life will begin at 4pm. Following the service, a celebration of life will take place at the Milton Eagles club from 5pm to 7pm. The burial will be held at the St. Thomas Cemetery in the Spring of 2024.

In honor of David's vibrant spirit and unique personality, the family kindly requests that everyone wears a Hawaiian shirt or an Ugly sweater to the memorial events.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Franklin Humane Society, Make A Wish Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. These organizations held special places in David's heart as he had a deep love for animals and believed in granting wishes for children facing challenging circumstances.

David M. Millette will be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who dedicated his life to his loved ones. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace knowing how deeply he was loved and cherished.
